What Our Guests Say
“Dear Sarah, Amanda, Scott, Chris, Leah, Charlie, Wendy, Debbie, Lou and any other staff I may have missed.
On behalf of Iris and Myself I would like to thank you all for making our 55th wedding anniversary so memorable. Me calling the bingo numbers was just a little pay back for making us so welcome and for the lovely gifts. Hopefully we’ll be with you at the New Year, so take care and thanks once again.
With Love and best wishes”
– Iris & Bill

“We were guests on your special offer half board weekend and wish to thank you all very much indeed for your kind hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed being back with you and especially valued the larger seaview room 4 as we both have mobility issues. We also very much appreciated the free car ferry offer, without which we could not have come, so many thanks for this great deal.
We very much hope to come and stay with you again in the not too distant future., we know that you all work incredibly hard to keep the hotel open throughout the year, keep up the good work all of you and do keep working on those jokes Will! – thank you for making us smile!!.”

“Stayed here over the Easter Weekend and yet again had a wonderful stay. All the staff are extremely friendly and will always do their best to make the stay as special as possible. The food is great, we’ve never had a bad meal in all the times we have stayed. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.
The hot cross buns on Good Friday and Easter Eggs on Sunday made the trip that little bit more special, a brilliant idea by the management. Although our first trip of the year, it will not be the last.”
– W & I Penegar

“We had a great time staying with you and hope to return back in the future. Hopefully we can return and enjoy the evening entertainment next time as my wife was hoping to play a spot of bingo but unfortunately we may have come at a quieter time of the season!.
This was our first ever family trip to the “Isle of wight” and i have to say that the hotel was in a great location right on the seafront opposite the pier.
It’s an older hotel but with lots of charm.
It meet all our family needs the room was big enough with great sea views. With even a small balcony to stand outside on to take in the sea air.
The staff were extremely helpful! and friendly throughout our stay.
The added bonus of the indoor swimming pool was put to good use by myself and my son who really enjoyed it. As the weather wasn’t to kind to us….lol
The breakfast was plentiful and served with some wonderful charm from our waitress who was great with the kids.
The parking was not an issue as we was informed that thier is street parking nearby.
This was not more then a couple of minutes walk away.
All in all this was hopefully the first of many visits.
Special thanks to all the staff and the management for making our first short break an excellent one.”
– Lee & Family

“My family and I have been staying at the Royal Pier Hotel regularly since Christmas 2004.
We have subsequently stayed every New Year and had the best time. June, Mick and the Team make us feel so welcome and relaxed, we feel like we are at home, so much so I wore my slippers to breakfast once or twice!.
The young children in my family have always been made to feel welcome and actively included in all that’s going on.
Our family started what has now become a tradition, The New Year’s Day Swim supporting the Sandown & Shanklin Inshore Lifeboat.
The food is excellent with a varied selection for breakfast and evening meal. The bar prices are good value and the Beatrice Bar is open whether you feel like an afternoon tipple or a pre dinner drink.
She may not be the most modern looking of hotels but The Royal Pier has all the character, charm and comfort that any beachfront hotel needs.
The swimming pool and hot tub are always accessible during the day and the hotel’s position adjacent to the Pier and beach means you will never run out of things to do!.”
– The Hamm Family
“My wife and I would like to thank you for the lovely 3 days we spent with you.
The service was 100% plus, nothing too much trouble and all with a lovely smile and happy atmosphere.
The food was very good and always on time and the accommodation was good. We will definatley come again.”
– Christine & Ernie
“My family and I have been going to the Royal Pier Hotel 3 to 4 times a year. The Hotel is a little dated but is in tune with the age of the building. (It was Princess Charlotte’s holiday home, one of Queen Victoria’s daughters.)
You pay for what you get.
We have always been treated with respect by all the staff who go out of their way to help.
The dining room staff are speedy in serving you, the food is good and plentiful but if you want more just ask, they go off menu to satisfy my grandchildren’s fadey food ideas!.The Hotel is clean and tidy. Bar prices are excellent.
All in all a prefect haven for the family with the beach and pier on your doorstep”
