Since 1826 Cowes Week is one of the longest running successful sporting events with 40 daily races, 750 boats it is the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world!.

GARLIC FESTIVAL

Garlic lovers from across the globe unite to celebrate this pungent ingredient. From garlic ice cream to garlic beer.
Britain’s most powerful garlic is produced just minutes from the festival site.
Garlic is not the only thing on the menu, there is live entertainment, games, falconry displays & a funfair

ISLE OF WIGHT INTERNATIONAL SCOOTER RALLY
22 – 25 AUGUST 2025
Based at Sandown Airport, join thousands of scooter enthusiasts at one of the biggest and most iconic events in the UK.
Every year vintage scooters, riders and spectators flock to the Island to enjoy live music, custom shows, trade stalls and more at various venues in Sandown & Ryde.
The highlight of the weekend is the big ride out on Sunday which starts from the ice rink in Ryde

ROYAL PIER'S FESTIVE FAYRE
SUNDAY tbc 12-4pm
Come and browse through our many stalls, including local crafts, jewellery, cakes, preloved clothes, toys and many more.
Take part in games, raffle, teddy tombola and scavenger hunt.
Presents from Santa and his elf for the children and you may bump into Elsa!
This is a fundraising event for Sandown & Shanklin Independent Lifeboat

NEW YEAR'S DAY DIP
1 JANUARY 2026 @ NOON
Meet at the hotel , once all the dippers are present we will head to the beach next to the pier, when the lifeboat sounds the claxon, run, jump, skip into the sea!.
Head back to the hotel after for a hot drink – free to all dippers.
Everyone is welcome, this is a fundraising event for Sandown & Shanklin Independent Lifeboat
